Kerry is not a Kennedy clone. Where did you hear that? Limbaugh? That is just one of the only attacks they can think of. Kennedy did mentor Kerry when he first came up, but Kerry has changed and is his own man now completely. One striking difference is that Kerry voted for war with Iraq (with UN approval) and Kennedy is fighting it. Kerry also does not agree with Kennedy on national health care. He wants a moderate compromise. Kerry is a gun-owner and supports gun rights. Kerry is a combat veteran war hero. Kerry is not a drinker and womanizer like Kennedy. Kerry married a Republican. The comparisons are not accurate though admittedly 10 years ago Kerry have have been under Uncle Teddy's wing, and Kennedy is a powerful man with a big shadow. it took awhile for Kerry to get out from under it. Now he has. Kerry can and probably will win in 2004. very possible and likely he will be our next president, and I believe will be a great one. even conservatives will come to love him. He may even run with McCain. That is the gossip anyway. McCain loves Kerry. And for good reason.
