The medical team thing was a big deal here in the US. The picture of americans dying in the desert from a chem attack because an expert German team was not there, painted a very bad picture of Schroeder.
You are right about China getting a pass for saying much the same things but we have a 58 year alliance with germany and have just gotten over decades of emnity with china so our expectations are far lower there. Mike
