<< Oh?? By what.. A couple of genes that determine skin and hair color, and the shape of our facial features?? >> Humans have about 30,000 genes. They influence physical traits as well as mental traits. The combinational complexities, that effect each and every one of us, is astronomical. To make it more complex, add to the equation the effects of one's personal experiences and environment. Our genes effect height, intelligence, alcoholism, hair color, skin color, etc. It is fascinating. Then you find someone like Saddam Hussein, who seems to have ice in his veins, and enjoys torturing and killing others, and possibly thinks that God has chosen him to destroy the world. Think about Stalin, who murdered tens of millions, or Mao who murdered tens of millions, or Hitler who murdered tens of millions. During the Holocaust, young children were lined up, then picked up by their ankles and had their heads bashed in, against a wall, while the other children waited for their turn. The many "humans" that acted with unbelievably cruelty, didn't just get so depraved by their environment. Many behaviours were pre-determined by their genes. <===================================================>
I said: "Some apes were more aggressive species than others." You responded: "Robert.. I don't like the way this discussion is progressing. I will not permit racist commentary to pervade this discussion thread." <===================================================> Racist? It's not racist. Humans evolved from apes. But, not only different species of apes are different, certain breeds of dogs are more aggressive species than others, or more intelligent than other species. But, I'll respect your decision and refrain from discussing genetics. |
