I am fully confident that McCarthyism is dead. What I see is more a fear of McCarthyism than an actual danger.

Of course, you still have the overzealous "patriots" out there, especially those who think it's their "God-given" duty to threaten and vandalize Islamic centers of worship. But I'm not worried about them; we have come quite a ways from the time period where McCarthyism and internment camps were acceptable.
