I made some mistakes towards the end, copying errors as I was tired, but you certainly pegged the source of the poem. I was looking through all our old family photographs while I was there late at night. I have always had a sense of disconection from my past. Reality is always in the here and now for me. I would have loathed the person I was in my teens so I have a hard time figuring out how she turned in to me. I see myself as an infinite succesion of individuals, integrated into the person everyone calls Alexa, and at some points the individuals have a great deal in common, at other points almost nothing in common. The objects stay constant and recognizable to the present me, but the historical me is no longer familiar. Alright, now it sounds as if I've gone insane, or perhaps always been that way, which I don't think is the case. But I'm glad you like the poem. Just wish I had typed it out correctly.
