Isn't it amazing how gullible some people are?
The weak-minded accept these vacuous unattributed claims, without even reading the article, so they can go back to sleep.
It's like having faith and comfort in gov't truth-telling, by saying, "oh, the news media, they get briefings all the time, so no problemo". Just ask any bona-fide reporter in the WH pool about any such "briefings" - there aren't anything of substance in the "backgrounders". Pure unattributed propaganda, with few exceptions.
The scandal in current propagandistic media coverage is the extensive use of unattributed quotes, from "gov't sources", "high gov't officials said", etc., leaving ALL ACCOUNTABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY out of the equation.
Just like our synthetic executive, who will never again have any sort of unpackaged news conference, if any unanswered questions are liable to come up. In fact, won't even respond in writing -- too dangerous. It's imperative to stonewall any investigations try to maintain lies to the public. |
