MM--what's your read on this? Message 18515463 Do you think Bush's plan is to do the war knowing Iraqi oil well fires will light up and blacken the sky, and then, in a most Republican manner, force the UN to pay to put 'em out--instead of the US? Last time 'round, the Kuwaiti government paid this massive expense. Whose in line to pay for this one? Or will there be a war? Do you think, given Bush's behavior, paying to put out the oil fires could be the only reason he's put the Iraq matter in the UN court? You'd think Rumsfeld, as good as he pretends to be on camera, would have thought this one out.
