Like Clinton said, if you want to be rich like a Republican, vote Democrat. Despite Bush blaming his recessions on others, I think the proof is pretty much in on this one. The markets have voted. Wildly enthusiastic about democratic policy, gloomy amd pessimistic about GOP policy. Really is ironic since the GOP is supposed to be the party of the rich. My IRA lost 20% last year. Just got the statement. And I was 1/3 in cash trying to be safe. That is the Bush legacy. Might go down another 20% this year. I wont be surprised. So who cares about tax rates when you're losing money hand over fist? very few people I know have "tax problems" since Bush took office.
