the world must never let the likes of sadam have control of this kind of power [oil]

Normally, it would not be up to another country's nationals to decide who has rights to what in one country. The fact that we are even discussing this is a symptom of just how far respect for sovereignty and international treaties has deteriorated thanks to Bush administration's declarations and policies over the past year.

1907 Hague Convention clearly states that the natural resources of a country belong to its nation, even under military occupation. But I guess nobody cares for such trivial stuff anymore. He's evil, America is good, so American corporations will take Iraq's oil.

A shame, if you ask me.

IMO most of the world views oil as a necessity of life, sadam views it as a powerful weapon.

A rare commodity such as oil is a crucial necessity AND hence is definitely a powerful weapon. Has the US not recently used oil as a weapon to pressure North Korea?

Isn't this the guy that clinton pardoned?

How am I supposed to know? :-)
