When I was "rich" I spent is BECAUSE of the tax rates. I invested in our economy, hired people, paid taxes, purchased equipment. If I were you maybe I'd have squirreled it away in the Bahamas to avoid taxes and kept it all to myself. As a result of my spending my tax rates were rather low, much lower than your average wage-earner. I also got a nice fat IRA out of it. Thnis is what we need to do, force the rich to spend and let them write a lot of it off by keeping tax rates where they are. If we dont, there will be little incentive for them to do anything but spend it on themselves or pass it on. Money taken out of commission. Stagnant economy.
