Ask yourself if an Arab can ever find a seat in the "Jewish" state of Israel,

You mean "seats", like at a table to eat, or political seats, such as the knesset and Israeli Cabinet. If the latter, then you should be aware that Israeli-Arabs HAVE held political office in Israel. Saleh Tarif served as an Israeli cabinet official.. (of course many Arabs didn't like him because of their prejudice against Druze):

Arabs have equal voting rights and currently have 10 representatives in the Knesset among the 120 seats. Recently, there was even a Druze cabinet minister. Israel is one of the few countries in the Middle East where Arab women are given a vote. Along with Hebrew, Arabic is an official language of Israel.

Now my goodness Zonder.. Arabic is considered an "official" language in Israel.. Where, in the Arab world, is Hebrew given equal status?? And where in the Arab world do 10 percent of their political seats go to Jews??

And that's an exuse? "Attitude" is an excuse for oppression, occupation, and less than equal treatment?

There is no OFFICIAL policy of discrimination against Arabs or other minorities in Israel. But there's little to prevent individual Israelis from ignoring the law and excercising discrimination on an individual basis (not hiring Arabs, abusing them.. etc)..

But that's not official policy.. It's a natural and HUMAN reaction against what the Israelis perceive as a people and leadership (Arafat) who use ever opportunity to advance a violent and genocidal agenda against their country.

I can understand this.. In fact, I've had neighbors who I wouldn't give the time of day to because they were such butt-holes to me and people I know. If they had done something illegal, I would likely have immediately called the cops on them just to get them in trouble and out of the neighborhood (hopefully to prison)..

But that doesn't mean that my neighborhood had a policy of discrimination against these folks. It's just that they got back what they gave. They displayed intolerance and violence (tendencies) towards me, and I merely reciprocated..

That, in essence, is what is happening between the Palestinians and Israelis today. Intolerance by one group is reaping intolerance from the other. The extremists on either side are running rough shod over the moderates.

That's why we saw Likud's presence in the Knesset double. The Israeli people are sick of Arafat and these suicide bombers. No more screwing around... And their patience is running out. And that's because the Labor movement has no other solution to offer towards creating peace. And they don't have one because Palestinian factions in control over there have no interest in peace.

Really? How come Jews bought so much of the land, then.

Because the British were in charge of the Mandate. Once the West Bank fell to Jordan, a law was passed forbidding the sale of land to Jews, on pain of death. Arafat has continued this policy. However, part of the Jordanian-Israeli peace treaty amended this prohibition so foreigners(including Jews) can now purchase property in Jordan under specific circumstances:

Did you not hear of the bomb that dropped on a Palestinian home killing more than a few people who had nothing to do with the conflict?

As compared to sending explosive laden donkeys into Israeli marketplaces to explode?? Blowing up Discos full of teen-agers? Pizzarias??..

And the only instance I can remember that resembles what you describe is when the Israelis targeted the home of a Hamas leader and some of his family members were killed.

I figure I have to ask why his kids are more sacred that Israeli kids??.. I prefer targeting the families of those leaders who seek to deliberately target innocent civilians who have nothing to do with the politics. I would love to target Bin Laden's immediate family.. Muhammed Atta's as well.. (for remaining in denial about what their son did)..

I would definitely target those people that Saddam considers more precious than himself. I would find whatever advantage that would end the human suffering for the greatest number of people as quickly as I could.
