VM's already support SS7 in telcos. While this is not really "CTI", many of the VM's are using Dialogic or NMSS boards with one of the various SS7 NW boards (DataKinetics, etc). This could provide the foundation for advanced SS7-enabled CTI. As ISDN seems to be fading into oblivion, perhaps SS7 call centers will emerge.
