I don't see the US engaging in indiscriminate killing of civilians at all. However, you are absolutely correct in saying that a "surgicial", and "sterile" Battle for Baghdad will not occur. That would be impossible with the kind of weaponry being used, and I just don't see a large city doing well under that kind of punishment. It's bound to be ferocious and destructive, no matter how careful we are. And the oil wells? I just don't see how the TOHOEs can seriously be thinking we take them unscathed.
