<quarter ending Friday> My friends at HP tell me the books for the qtr were closed a week ago. Change in accounting practises I'm told. In the past u could book orders (and get paid commission) until the last day, even based on Letter-of-Intent. Now you can only book orders whose shipments will occur within the qtr. Hence closing the books a week before the last day.
