Again, you are not getting the point. To make your image work, you have to assume a ruthless hunt for dirt. Then, when I say that nothing was manufactured, you assert it was, suggesting that the ruthlessness extended to making false charges, planting evidence, etc. But the problem is that if there had been a determination to win at all costs, Bill would have been taken down, because he would have been framed. Instead, he was cleared, and the charges that were brought were of such a nature as to leave doubt in the public mind that it was worth the trauma of removal. It seems obvious to me that the whole matter was played by the book.......
