my friends in the UK say opposition to this is very very strong. and if it's strong in the UK, the only way places like Spain or Italy "support" this is by stomping over their own people. Blair has a problem, that's for sure, and not one he can quash by restricting reporting a la northern ireland situation. i have to say it cannot be a comfortable feeling for the white house knowing the two biggest european supporters are italy and spain. the historical parallels MUST have occured to someone...especially to the someone who recycled the term "axis"... interesting comment about the cells. if fireworks starts it might be a good time to take that country vacation.
