Odyssey Intersects More Gold At Altintepe

-----------------------------------------------------------

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE; January 31, 2003 - Paul Matysek, President and CEO of Odyssey Resources Limited (ODX:TSX Venture Exchange) is pleased to report that a second vertical hole drilled at Altintepe, was collared 65 metres (213 feet) to the southwest of ADT-1. (see NR January 24, 2003) ADT-2 was designed to test the southern limit of the 2G zone and returned an average of 2.34 g/t Gold (.075 oz/t) over 18.5 metres (60 feet) from surface in oxidized andesite porphyry. Further drilling is focussed on the northeastern extension of this mineralized zone along a strike length of 700 metres (2296 feet). Drill logs will be posted on the company's web-site.

Further, the company has completed a drill-testing program at the Trab 23 Cu-Au-Mo prospect optioned from BHP Billiton. (see NR Sept 16, 2002) Two holes, each drilled to 150 metres, failed to intersect economic values and consequently Odyssey Resources Limited has, by agreement, relinquished any interest therein.

Moving forward, Odyssey's Joint Venture with BHP Billiton, (see NR June 27, 2002) continues and has achieved significant progress in delineation of potential giant gold-copper porphyry targets in the prolific eastern Anatolides of Turkey. A multi-parameter computer-driven compilation and synthesis program has identified several prospective targets for follow up and definition.

On Odyssey's Kabatash Cu-Mo-Au prospect, just south of the Altintepe gold project, continued exploration has also been encouraging. A recently completed petrographic study of mineralized samples taken from a zone of alteration covering an area approximately 5km by 3.5 km indicates an early copper event and later leaching by sulfide rich fluids. The study concludes that the company's 100% owned Kabatash property has mineralogical and geological features consistent with other copper gold porphyries. Drill permits have been obtained and the company is now mobilizing to test this prospect.
