And you wouldn't know nada about "hurling insults", now would you?

I admit I have the least patience of any conservative on this thread. I am, quite simply, intolerant. I admit it, it isn't that I want to be, I just am.

I have nothing against liberals personally. I have nothing against stupid people; hell, it isn't their fault. But I get really frustrated because liberals sometimes seem to have a little chunk of missing brain that just won't allow them to understand what seem to be obvious concepts.

I want to say this as simply as possible. Speaking for liberals, I see everything you see, I understand fully the implications, and yet, I don't come to the same conclusions that you and other conservatives do.I don't know why that is.......but there is something in your evaluative powers that is very different from the eval. powers of liberals. Its uncanny.....without any contact between each other, conservatives will come to the same conclusion person after person, case after case. And I imagine its the same with liberals.

And blaming it on brainpower.....that's just an excuse to explain away your frustration. I told Tim its almost like its genetic predisposition to insure there will be a checks and balances in the human race so that one group won't be allowed to steal the whole show.

For example, it is, to me, intuitive that North Korea is the best possible example of why we must stop Iraq, quickly. Yet, liberals can't see this and in fact, get things totally twisted up so that North Korea is somehow a reason for NOT stopping Iraq.

That's because a liberal figures if you, the conservative, is freaked out by Iraq, than you have to be doubly freaked
out by NK, and therefore, react even more strongly militarily. So when you don't react more strongly, to a liberal, it makes the brouhaha over Iraq look like a sham.

I know this will sound funny but I suspect a strong national defense gives conservatives a sense of security that it doesn't give a liberal.

I just can't conceive of how convoluted one's thought processes must be to come to such an out-of-kilter conclusion (it may relate in some way to the confused logic we spoke about earlier, i.e., the Nixon/Lying/Liberalism analogy -- I'm not sure, but if you apply the same logic to the NK/Iraqi situation, you WOULD get the wrong conclusion. Maybe I'm on to something...)

You're on to something but you make the problem pejorative by taking it to the issue of intellect. I don't think that's where the problem is......its much more complicated than that.

So, I won't even blame you for my intolerance. It is mine, I am responsible for it, and I apologize for it. But perhaps you can understand why it is I hurl insults from time to time -- and kindly discount them next time it happens.

I do get your frustration............And I too get frustrated because you don't seem to be able to see the other perspective....or at least another way to view the problem. But maybe its not possible for either side to get into the shoes of the others' ideology. Its really pretty odd.
