Increase the defense budget to 500b, among other things and we are gonna have to at least stop cutting taxes permanently. That big of increase is not going to happen under Bush even if he gets a second term, even if you don't adjust for inflation. Also even if it did happen over the next six years the increase would be smaller then the increase in social spending projected over that same time frame. Tim
