MSI, re:You're out in la-la land ... The US has no right or authority to "take" any oil fields. No shit, glad you made that point for me - I'm tired of hearing the ridiculous "Bush is doing it for the oil". re:Any new gov't emerging out of the smoking ruins of Iraq will have to sell that oil, and the US will have to pay for it, Actually, France will be paying for that oil - we don't buy their oil. But I don't doubt they will have plenty of money to take care of whatever they need to rebuild.
