Posting here is a "Mind Altering " experience, isn't it? Not core beliefs, but the "Nuances," as John loves to say. What draws me to the conclusion that Canada will never be part of the US is practical politics. The last two states brought in, Alaska and Hawaii, were a political "Balancing Act" to counter the perceived "Left" and "Right" bias of the territories. Turns out it worked, but in the opposite direction that was originally expected.

The Right would never tolerate bringing in that many Socialists. Plus the Medical system would bankrupt even us. It would tilt the Politics to force a "Single Pay" system on the entire US. Plus all those French speaking voters would be enough by itself to stop us.

So, as they say in FECOM, "Never Hoppen, GI!
