The Democrats were not obstructionist, they were merely protecting our national treasury from being further looted by Big Energy and other corporate welfare and partisan hand-outs. They're also trying to protect our environment, international standing and trying to stimulate not depress the economy.

But other than stopping the Enron Dream Bush energy plan, what else were they able to stop? Most even grudgingly went along with the Iraq War and big tax cuts for the rich. In case you hadn't heard, the Dems are now the minority party on all fronts, so telling us Bush has obstructionists challenging him is lame. Now GOP moderates are becoming the obstructionists. And thank God for them. The more the better. Bush is running this country into the ground. Our real problem now is too much power in Bushies' hands. And Bush didn't even win the election fairly. He's not even a legitimate presdient in many peoples' minds. So why should he get a mandate? Gore got more votes. Add in Nader votes and Bush was the clear loser. Only Jeb's tricks in Florida and a friendly Supreme Court GW. Otherwise he'd be back in Texas where he belongs. Clinton had to deal with the Newt Gingrich congress. You telling me they were any less obstructionist? They stopped the entire government once. get your facts straight.
