Solution: Budget cuts plus rescinding Bush tax cuts. Painful budget cuts too. All those things Bush just promised, forget about it. We can't afford half of them.
Let's see, what don't we REALLY need and what can we do? SDI, all corporate welfare, Crusader weapon system, put caps on Medicare (ouch), stop war in Iraq somehow, troops out of Europe, Japan, South Korea and Central America, price freezes on medical care, luxury taxes on expensive items, sin taxes on liquor and marijuana (if they legalize it which they wont), taxes on gas guzzlers, line-item out any pork, limits on our court system (ouch), limits on highway construction (ouch), no help for illegal immigrants -- come to think of it none of this works without taxing the rich the way we used to. The numbers just aren't going to add up. And the GOP wont tax the rich so it looks like a complete disaster to me. Bill Clinton where are you? John Kerry HELP! |
