We just have to remember who is in control and who is making the decisions. It ain't the people and Jeffersonian Idealism. It is oil money and commerce of billionaires. It is a closed shop of some people in control who buy and sell elections. It is corruption and power that rule, not ethics and law. Once people see the game of how to get on the feedbag and how to proclaim motherhood sanctimonious piosities to fool all, it becomes a lawyer's paradise. Hypocrisy rules. Cheap cynicism prevails. We are often fooled as to politicians character. The ain't got any. They is politicians ain't they?

It was once true in Canada that one small group of individuals who knew each other ruled all of business and government. That was known as the Family Compact. It was the breaking of this clique that led to responsible government. Today we have to break other cliques to get a representative rule again in Canada. In this case we have to throw out the ones who always lie, in order to take the moral high ground strangely..the liberals. In Canada as well we see where ALL judges are Masons. How the heck did that happen? We must strive to make sure that government does not just become a close shop of catering to vested interest. Government has to serve commerce and the people's needs but not be a rubber stamp of either's corruption or whining.

On the other hand, trusting the other guy's propaganda could be a fatal mistake. Being too nice plays into the hands of the bullies who exist far and wide who are waiting to impose their own narrow view. So far it is still better at least marginally to choose our corrupion over all others.
