I received an email from a friend -- it included a note about the shuttle that reflects my views as well: "I was glued to CNN for an hour watching what happened. It really gets to my heart when I see people with such life-long passions and dreams about something lose their lives in the process of their pursuit. Very inspiring but sad at the same time. The best and the brightest of mankind. Their lives are cut short, leaving behind their big, happy and enthusiastic smiles."
