Notes--- they have gotten around the turkish problem by having no more on the turkish bases than allowed but will just then have like 20,000 troops and move them into Iraq and then add 20,000 more and send them into Iraq and therefore run as many troops into Iraq as they wish and the Turkish government can say we have not allowed more than than 20,000 U.S., troops on our bases(an example figure).
The old days of mano a mano war are long gone.
As this plan reads it sounds so over the edge hi-tech devastating that this war could be over in one week.
Where we can find bravery in sending 3,000 cruise missiles into iraq in 48 hours before anything else happens defies me.
We have simply become the most destructive and terrifying force on the face of the earth.
The stated purpose is to avoid infrastructure damage(Baghdad) and minimize civilian casualities.
But the army, that which is still alive, will be in such shock they theoritically will simply surrender.
End game, war over.
The stock market shall roar upwards and we will party in the streets over how great we are and all countries will quake at the name America( and believe they will--as we are Numero Uno Fearsome).
And Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American" will flood the airwaves and all our overweight couch potatoes can click their TV remote controls and watch the celebrations celebrating of our heroes for a war won by the an incomprehensible 2-day mass missile attack.
I see they have jacked the number from 800 cruise missiles to 3,000 precision bombs and cruise misssiles!!!!
Funny though, on going overseas i don't feel i will be greeted with cries "You must be Proud to be an American!"
I somehow think our passionate love of ourselves will not be shared world wide.
We are Empire, the biggest the meanest the toughest in history. We are a becoming rapidly a Metallic Empire, a Mechanized Empire, and pretty soon we will need only several thousands of people to push buttons to keep the world under our thumb.
I don't know, maybe that really does get other peoples "rocks off" but it does not thrill me.
Maybe i am just old fashioned, and my failing to join hands in the great new Metallic Age where souls are forgotten is somehow just being the discontent of a ancient and soon to be extinct breed as the Brave New World is Dawning.Progress is so Beautiful, it must G-d's plan,yeh sure! Max |
