I hate the idea of going to war. Death, devastation, disruption, suffering… But, what else can be done? All chatter aside, the warring camps have already formed, and lines of no return have been crossed.

We would have been more than happy to go on with our business… However, a weird combination of religious and secular ideologues and power-hungry extremists have challenged us, and we have no choice but to fight back – fight to win.

If we don’t face them now, there will still be a confrontation not that far off in the future, except that our opponents will be stronger.

As things stand today, bringing Iraq over to the side of the “good guys” may turn the tide AGAINST the various groups of radicals in the Muslim world. Everyone would be better off, including – particularly – Muslims themselves.
