LOL, show me a manager who never made a huge mistake and I will show you a liar. Someone put in the trillions of dollars that vanished in the market crash the past few years - we are all guilty to some extent. There is a passion on this thread for buying stocks that just keep going down because they are a "better value" then. To each their own. The returns in the Weitz funds look pretty respectable compared to the markets: Returns (%) 3mo 1yr 3yr avg 5yr avg WVALX 4.58 -17.44 1.24 8.44 You can find better and you can find much, much worse.
