i have a difficult time using BBands, but there are a couple of people here who seem to have a pretty good handle on them so i'm willing to spent some time looking for clues and patterns.

i've been running some tests over the weekend, and the most promising thing i can find is to wait for a band compression, wait for a close below the lower band, then go long. the reverse, shorting a rise above the upper, is a disaster. oh, and i had to futz with the "standard" 14,2 bband parameters.

what i expected to find was as straddle play. straddling works, but so far it seems going long is on average considerably more profitable.
