Who governs Iraq is a choice the Iraqi people must make. We do not have the right, under international law to change their ruler. We simply don't. You may not like international law, but I do.

Your first cost argument is ridiculous. You don't go to war because it's "cheaper" (and of course it wouldn't be cheaper anyway)- not if you want to live by the rule of law. International law doesn't have anything to say about the "cheaper option excuse for going to war." We can, of course, choose to become an outlaw nation. But i hope we don't.
