I've seen and known many women who were desperate for a man,any man. And some of them are professional women. If you haven't ever noticed that phenomenon then you haven't been alive and participated in honest female conversation. I have also known women to have "crushes" on men..................you mean you have never known a women who is desperately in love or lust for a particular man? Who you been all your life?
