That first chart from CI is identical to one that I plotted last week when I was discussing the trade deficit with Jim Woolie and mishedlo ...

I argued that the trade gap would narrow over the coming months. Contary seems to be on the other side and may have a legitimate point or two applicable to the long run, but I think I am going to keep my bias in thinking that the trade deficit will come in because the drop in imports will be quicker or at least as fast as the drop in exports.
