wouldn't a ponzi scheme apply if you removed all the tax benes for real estate and no one was willing to buy SV houses for 700K?

I agree there will still, always be demand for housing but not at these prices or anywhere near them if every owner here had to pay full taxes on the current value of the house... don't you agree with that?

Anyway no big deal to me either way, it was kindof a fascinating observation for me today that every investment I can think of has some element of the greater fool theory... and at this point imo stocks require the fewest greater fools, since there isn't much speculation built into the price anymore.
