"Scope of Logging in Sequoia Monument Plan Angers Critics"

So what? The job is to manage the forests, not to please critics.

"It would permit the felling of trees, including sequoias, as much as 30 inches in diameter"

A 30" Sequoia is NOT OLD GROWTH. In fact, they are saying they want to clear the smaller trees to PROTECT the old growth. You either lied in your earlier post, or you do not know what old growth is.

"Those policies (Clinton's) slashed the amount of timber cutting in federal forests to a fraction of what it was in the 1980s."

Did you hear about the wild fires in the west last year? The amount of material in our forests is not healthy for the forest (hence the name "healthy forest initiative"), and it is an EXTREME fire danger.

Pretty lame if this is your source for forming an opinion on this important issue. Your statement about cutting old growth trees is categorically false, and like I said, is either a lie by you, or simply the ignorant passing along of FALSE information.
