Hi Dave,
I hope the judge IS good to us too. I am not down on the judge so much as the jury. The judge did narrow the issues the jury was allowed to consider, though.
You are certainly entitled to say what you think about it but I cannot say the law was upheld and be satisfied the right thing was done. A higher moral law would be that a father should stand by his daughter. It shows the lack of character in Cosby that he refused to acknowledge her and she was forced to go to such measures to get what she should be entitled to as his daughter. If he submitted to a blood test and she could prove her claim then that would change a lot of public opinion.
As far as laws go, we should be worried about the way laws are being passed in this country. How about search and seizure! If you have a lot of cash on you now it can be confiscated on the assumtion you may be involved in drug trafficking. No trial or jury! And no charges filed against you or day in court to prove you just trust cash more than the banks, your money is gone.
How about implied consent in public places to being pulled over and searched on the highway, just because it's a public road. We lose some of our rights to privacy just because we are on a public road? That's wrong.
Here's a controversial law. A woman can consent to the killing of her unborn child at any time. It's the law! Law's are not so great sometimes!
Bob

PS Must be a slow day. <g>
