Abgenix and Chugai Collaborate to Develop and Manufacture Antibody Therapeutics Message 18527450 It seems as if Abgenix got a good partner here. Apart from that, these types of deals demonstrates how focus is shifted towards targeting and away from the method for the development of the mAbs. One would have thought that Abgenix through their extensive target-harvesting collaborations with among others Curagen and Lexicon would not have to travel to Japan to find promising new anti-body targets to work on.
