I'm not trying to defend it. I just don't want my elected officials removed over something so iffy while in office. It wastes my taxpayer money. imo

I assume all my elected leaders will be indefensibly immoral under my schema. I'm not going to worry about that. What I want to see is if they can do the job I want them to do. I was happy with Clinton's opinions on the issues that concern me- that is much more important to me than his morality. I think, if you can be honest, that if President Bush had an affair and lied about it, it might be more important to you that you keep him in office to represent your views, than that you impeach him, and get stuck with a liberal.
