1544 [Dow Jones] Spot gold pulls off highs a bit on quick profit-taking after briefly breaching $375/oz to peak at $375.35 - highest since November 1996 - on intensified Japanese buying after PM Koizumi's comment he hopes BOJ will ease further, a move likely to weaken JPY, say traders. But retracement to find floor at $370 and gold still on uptrend, with next target $380; spot price now $374.60, up from $370.75 in late NY. (WCP)
