As long as you buy the argument that it is good for America you have nothing to worry about. I'm not disputing the value of the dividend tax cut, but I am commenting on how the administration is playing with numbers when it cites the benefits for the average american. The administration numbers do not accurately reflect the impact on the average american because it includes the benefit accrued to the wealthiest 2 per cent. 40% of the Bush tax cut savings accrues to the wealthiest two per cent. What is the tax savings for the average american when you remove the benefit accrued to the top 2%?
