There is a cancer growing on the side of this Presidency. The cancer is the budget deficit. This cancer may destroy this Presidency before th 2004 election. The Bush Administration has once again demonstrated their incompetent economic leadership with the most reckless and most irresponsible budget proposal in my lifetime. This huge amount of deficit spending comes just 5 years before the leading edge of the baby boomer generation starts to draw their Social Security benefits. This means huge, huge deficits as far as they eye can see.
