How convenient. A bit like saying "Find and punish all the rapists and murderers of the world before you try me for the bank robbery I did" :-)

Actually, it's more appropo to compare it to an unruly inter-racial neighborhood feud where the cops show an obvious bias against the "rich folk" because "they should know better" than to go fightin' 'wit 'dem po' unedjamacated folk.. Even when it's plainly obvious to all that them "po' folk" have been threatening to kill that rich family and beating up their kids and killing their pets every chance they get...

The bottom line Zonder, and I hope you never have to learn this personally, is that if you place the most civilized and pacific individual in the middle of a bunch of violent heathens (which is what these Arab dictators have shown themselves to be) and they will regress back to the state of nature required to defend themselves, as well as to counter-attack or launch pre-emptive strikes.

Civilized behavior is NOT instinctive. Respect for human life is not instinctive either.

And unlike you, I'm not about to hold Israel to a far higher standard in how they conduct their self-defense, when few of you are willing to exhibit the same, or greater, degree of effort in condemning the Arabs.

In fact, I'm a bit amazed that Israeli society has remained as moderate as it has been for the past 10 years. I can almost guarantee you that Americans wouldn't have that same kind of patience.
