All they have to do is come up with an expensing proposal that works for the Siebel situation, and these opposing groups would be forced to support it. I don't understand why McCain, et al don't understand that. Anyone can just plug in the numbers for any host of tech companies from the last 10 years and see easily that Black-Scholes is flawed. Why bother arguing the point? I predict that if Black Scholes is finally enacted, it gets repealed as soon as another Siebel situation pops up. Then back to square one. Just come up with the right system the first time, I say.
