I got to wondering if I'd ever get the faucet off without ruining something. A torch was my next move and because the other end of the elbow was soldered I was afraid of having to resolder it back on. Now thinking about it I should have removed the elbow, turned it 180 degrees and soldered it back on so it would be a little handier. It's working so I'll leave it alone.
