Catalyst Semiconductor Adds European Product Development Center
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 5, 2003--Catalyst Semiconductor (Nasdaq:CATS) today announced the launch of its first International Product Development Center by incorporating Catalyst Semiconductor Romania, SRL (CSR) as a wholly owned subsidiary of Catalyst Semiconductor, Inc.
Initially, CSR will focus on design, characterization and test development for some of Catalyst's memory and mixed-mode products and will soon take on additional responsibilities such as developing product applications and providing technical customer support for the European market.
CSR has leased 6,000 square feet of space in a new office building in Bucharest where operations are expected to start this month, as soon as all the required equipment has been installed.

CSR will be headed by Mr. Horia Profeta who will report to Mr. Voicu. Mr. Profeta has over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and is well acquainted with Catalyst Semiconductor. He comes to CSR from Essex, SRL, a past provider of design services to Catalyst. |
