RE: Intel sets guidelines for PC cameras

SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 28 (Reuter) - Intel Corp said Monday it released design guidelines to develop PC cameras to use with Intel-based computers.

The guidelines, meant to overcome current problems such as multiple PC-connectivity alternatives and <<varying file amd storage formats>>, are supported by Hewlett-Packard Co (HWP), Eastman Kodak Co (EK) and Microsoft Corp (MSFT) among others, the company said.

Regarding file and storage formats, is this in any way a hardware issue? Obviously Intel would opt for flash memory cards over n.hand.
