Hi Peter, Maybe you miss my point. The Krauthammer speech does describe a situation where multilateralism vs unilateralism have changed in form in recent years.

Check and balance has disappeared. The cold war allowed for a check and balance of general aggression. Unilateralism is a Pandora's box that has already been opened. It is necessary that the previous checks and balances now be upheld by the citizens of really just one country.

Because of this, it becomes even more important to elect the very best of our citizens to offices of our House, Senate and Presidency. So far, the early candidates that have been announcing for the distant presidential elections are unimpressive with this in mind.

When will the citizens of the most powerful country in the world start to take the elective process seriously?

Best regards, Tom
