Agreed that most confrontations occur in occupied territories and hence Palestinian civilians are killed as a result, I cannot agree to the offhand remark that less Israelis are killed because they are "less involved" in the violence, as suggested in the sentence below:

The main reason there are fewer Israeli casualties is that fewer Israelis are involved in the violence.

I believe a far less number of Palestinian civilians could be killed if the Israeli army was a bit more careful to target only the terrorist cells. Here, I would like to remind you the "retaliation" incursions into occupied territories after each terrorist attack, and the bombs that drop out of the sky on one suspected terrorist, killing women, babies, etc indiscriminately. I am sorry but I cannot see how that is excusable behaviour.

Re third party sources - I see quite a few independent news agencies that report, as well as comment on, the Isr/Pal conflict. There are also papers written by academics, studies in universities, etc. I do not think we are condemned to hear the Israeli version from a Jewish website only. If we take that route, I feel we shoul also give equal coverage on this thread to Palestinian and Arab websites.
