What Do Orthodox Jews Think About Abortion and Why?http://slate.msn.com/id/1005956/ ...but one thing is perfectly clear. 7 out of every 8 jews are pro-abortion. if you want to claim that the 1 jew out of 8 who is pro-life is invariably orthodox, and the other 7 are a result of the secularization of jews in america, fine by me. you are simply highlighting the fact that i seem to have the greatest problem with non-orthodox jews. the vast majority of jews in america are not orthodox, so i guess i have a problem with the vast majority of jews in america.

no more insidious than the media which makes a point out of the unusual number of terrorists who happen to be arab/muslim. no more insidious than the media which makes a point out of the unusual number of catholic priests who seem to be pedophiles. as usual with all the philosemites on this thread, we are back to square one. it always comes down to the same old tired argument. you all cry about how it's not fair to profile jews as a class of people. we must only look at individuals, not groups. yet none of the jews who run the media seem to complain when:
homosexuals cry about victimization as a group.
women complain about discrimination and victimization as a group
blacks complain about victimization and discrimination as a group
jews as a group complain about persecution and victimization, perpetrated by nazis (yet another group).
native americans complain about their victimization as a group
it's ok to profile as persecutors: christians and the religious right, radical muslims, arab extremists, islamo fascists, catholic priests, white heterosexual men, nazis, etc....but never jews! jews can only be profiled as a victim group, never as oppressors! |
