scott, read this summation of a few of Powell's points:

Powell, speaking at length on Iraq-al Qaeda collaboration, referred to senior al Qaeda operative Zarqawi as toxic expert, whose network based in NE Iraq runs facilities for training in use of poisons such as ricin.

Dozens of Bin Laden's terrorists are also present in Baghdad working towards joint terrorist activity all over Europe including Chechenya

From Afghanistan Bin Laden sought Iraqi help in developing biological and chemical weapons and in December 2000 was offered expert Iraqi instructors

This means that Saddam is already working with terrorists, already supplying them, already instructing them, already funding them. This evidence blows out of the water the countless assertions that Saddam has nothing to do with terrorism and an Iraq campaign is just a distraction from the War on Terror.

On the contrary, leaving Saddam alone means leaving a terror sponser with WMDs alone to conduct business as usual. It means sitting and waiting for the terrorists to strike.
