greg, There was a large fiber glassed sphere in the debris photos, looked to be 5 feet or more in diameter. I suspect this would be the oxygen tank. Multi layered fiberglass, it is just the type of self protecting construction that would be expected to survive re-entry. With the oxygen vented it would be light enough for drag to drop it below the plasma generation speed.
